About TTA
Taxi Training Australia (TTA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Combined Communications Network. This is the same company that runs Taxis Combined Services, the largest taxi fleet in Sydney, Silver Service Taxis, Yellow Cabs of Sydney, Computer Cabs, 131008 Sydney Taxis and ABC taxis.
We have a team of friendly and dedicated trainers with many years experience working within the NSW taxi industry. Of course as part of Combined Communications Network we also have access to the other staff working in all areas of the industry and the Owners and Operators who belong to the fleets we handle.
Class sizes at our school are limited, providing students with the best access to trainers and facilities. We believe in the personal touch - even in a company of our size.
Our mission is to provide the best taxi training service to our students from the time they enter the industry and throughout their career as a NSW Taxi Driver. Just because you have completed your course and have your Authority does not mean you are on your own. Our business is to look after Drivers at every stage of their career.

Taxi Training Australia runs a variety of classes for Taxi Drivers. These are held at our training rooms in Alexandria or Moorebank. Class times and dates vary so it is advisable to call us on 9020 2726 during business hours to confirm when a class is being held and if there are spaces still available.
Taxicare Plus
Anyone who wants to become a Sydney Taxi Driver must complete the Taxicare Plus course. These classes are held at out Moorebank Training Rooms. Click here for more information (link to Taxicare Plus Training Course page)
Radio Training
All Taxi Drivers who would like to work with any of our fleets will need to complete the Radio Training class to receive their DID (driver identification) and PIN (password). These classes are held a minimum of twice a week and run for approximately 3 hours.
Drivers are given the chance to use the equipment that is installed in the car so they are familiar with this prior to starting their first shift. This also includes going through the safety procedures in the vehicle.
A Drivers manual is also available to refresh their memories long after the class has finished.
Executive Assessment
Once a Taxi Driver has some on the road experience and can show good customer service skills he/she is able to apply to become an Executive Driver. Drivers must complete an application form and meet the eligibility criteria before they are able to attend the Executive Assessment.
The Executive Fleet is also the first step towards becoming a Silver Service Driver.
GST/BAS seminars
All Taxi Drivers must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and complete a Business Activity Statement (BAS) every 3 months to register their GST. This is compulsory.
TTA runs seminars in conjunction with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). This means the information you are getting at these seminars is straight from the horse's mouth. Feel free to attend any of these seminars if you have any questions about your rights and responsibilities regarding GST. They are open to all Taxi Drivers and Operators no matter how long you have been working.
The seminars are generally held in the month that your BAS is due. We always try to hold one in the evening and another in the morning. Call us on 9020 2726 during business hours for dates and more information. |
